Haiyu (ash glaze) sake cup made by Asahi Morio. The natural texture, expressed through the use of raw clay, wood ash, is the style of Asahi's most acclaimed works. The refined marks left by the spatula trimming technique lend the pieces a sense of precision and elegance.
