This work, created in 2022, is distinguished by its milky-white surface. The contrast between the white glaze and the iron-painted decoration rendered in deep black is truly striking. 光藤 佐作陶、穴窯焼成の瀬戸黒茶碗です。円筒型をしており口縁部に緩やかな起伏をもたせられています。瀬戸黒は真っ赤に焼けた茶碗を窯から引き出して黒色を得るという焼き物で、その際の鉄鋏の跡が残っています。本作品は少しテリが出るように釉薬が塗られています。 Setoguro tea bowl made by Mitsufuji Tasuku with in an hole kiln ("anagama"). It has a cylindrical shape with gentle undulations on the mouth edge. Setoguro is a type of pottery in which a red-burnt tea bowl is pulled out of the kiln to obtain a black color.
