土岐市を拠点に作陶を続ける、林友加先生による志野茶碗です。2026年に作陶された新作です。

林友加先生は、現代茶陶展優秀賞、萩大賞展審査員特別賞など数々の賞を受賞。日本伝統工芸展にも継続して入選するなど、現代の美濃を代表する志野作家の一人です。

本作は、深みのある黒灰色の志野肌に、淡いピンクの釉薬が大きく湾曲しながら器を巡る、非常に印象的な作品です。このピンクのラインは、力強く大胆な動きを見せながら、その色合いと柔らかな曲線によって、どこか優しく穏やかな趣を感じさせます。丸みを帯びた茶碗の造形に沿って流れることで、見る角度ごとに異なる表情が生まれ、器全体に伸びやかな動きを与えています。

伝統的な志野を基盤としながら、色彩と造形に現代的な感性を宿した、林友加先生ならではの一碗です。

This is a Shino tea bowl by Yuka Hayashi, who continues to create ceramics in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. A newly created work from 2026.

Yuka Hayashi has received numerous awards, including the Excellence Award at the Contemporary Tea Ceremony Exhibition and the Special Jury Prize at the Hagi Grand Award Exhibition. She has also been selected repeatedly for the Japan Traditional Kogei Exhibition, and is regarded as one of the leading Shino artists of contemporary Mino.

This work is particularly striking for its soft pink glaze, which sweeps boldly around the deep black-gray Shino surface in a broad, curving line. The pink line creates a dynamic sense of movement, while its gentle color and graceful curve give the piece a soft and serene character. Following the rounded form of the tea bowl, the line reveals a different expression from every angle, lending the entire vessel a sense of flowing movement.

Rooted in the tradition of Shino yet infused with a distinctly contemporary sensibility in both color and form, this is a remarkable tea bowl that embodies Yuka Hayashi’s unique artistic vision.
