土岐市で作陶を続ける白山窯、山田正和先生による鼠志野ぐい吞です。
This is a Nezumi Shino guinomi by Masakazu Yamada of Hakusan Kiln, who continues to create ceramics in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.

鼠色を基調とした肌に赤褐色から緋色が複雑に現れ、その上から白釉が薄く掛けられています。鼠色、緋色、白釉が焼成によって複雑に重なり合い、見る角度によってさまざまな表情を見せる味わい深い作品です。
The gray surface is beautifully accented with complex tones ranging from reddish brown to vivid hi-iro (fiery red), over which a thin layer of white glaze has been applied. The gray, red, and white glaze overlap in complex ways during firing, creating a richly expressive surface that reveals different nuances depending on the viewing angle.

柔らかな造形と、釉薬の濃淡や炎によって生まれた豊かな景色も魅力。特に正面には、白釉の流れと緋色が美しく重なり、鼠志野ならではの趣を感じさせます。
The softly rounded form is complemented by the varied shades and rich keshiki (surface effects) created by the glaze and flames during firing. Particularly striking on the front is the beautiful interplay of flowing white glaze and vivid red tones, conveying the distinctive character of Nezumi Shino.

山田正和先生は、1983年に日本伝統工芸展へ初入選し、その後16回入選。日本工芸会正会員として活動し、東海伝統工芸展の審査員を務めるなど、長年にわたり美濃の陶芸界で活躍されている陶芸家です。
Masakazu Yamada was first selected for the prestigious Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition in 1983 and has since been selected 16 times. As a regular member of the Japan Kōgei Association, he has also served as a judge for the Tōkai Traditional Kōgei Exhibition, and has been active in the Mino ceramics world for many years.
