小川哲央作陶、「穴窯焼成炎（Homuro）志野」茶碗、2026年夏の薪窯で焼かれた新作です。

鮮やかな緋色の発色がひときわ目を引く、力強く印象的な一碗です。穴窯で焼成することで、炎と灰が志野釉に働きかけ、鮮やかな緋色や赤褐色、茶褐色、灰色から黒色へと変化する複雑な窯変を生み出しています。まるで炎が器の表面を駆け巡ったかのような、豊かな景色が魅力です。

見る角度によって異なる表情を楽しむことができ、柚子肌や釉薬の濃淡、穴窯の炎によって生まれた自然な窯変にも、焼成の妙が感じられます。

Ogawa Tetsuou’s “Anagama-Fired Homuro Shino” Tea Bowl — a new work fired in a wood-fired kiln in Summer 2026.

The vivid red hi-iro firing is the most striking feature of this powerful and expressive tea bowl. Through anagama firing, the flames and wood ash interact with the Shino glaze, creating complex variations of vivid red, reddish-brown, brown, gray, and black. The resulting landscape is reminiscent of flames sweeping across the surface of the vessel.

The bowl reveals different expressions from every angle, while its yuzuhada (yuzu-skin texture), subtle variations in the glaze, and natural effects created by the anagama firing add to its unique character.
