旭守男作陶による志野茶碗です。

緋色の地肌に、白釉がうっすらと垂れるように掛かり、緋色と白釉が絶妙なバランスで調和しています。ところどころに現れる土味や焼成による景色が器に豊かな表情を与え、力強さの中にも志野特有の柔らかな趣を感じさせます。

まるで窯の中で燃えたぎる炎に包まれながら生まれてきたかのような、力強い焼き上がりが魅力の一碗です。

長年にわたり陶芸と向き合い続けてきた多治見の名工・旭守男先生ならではの、味わい深い志野茶碗です。

A Shino tea bowl by Morio Asahi.

A rich reddish-brown hi-iro ground is gently covered with a thin layer of white glaze that flows softly over the surface, creating an exquisite balance between the warm red tones and the delicate white glaze. The natural character of the clay and the subtle effects created during firing give the bowl a richly varied surface, combining a sense of strength with the soft, understated beauty characteristic of Shino ware.

The powerful character of the firing evokes the image of a tea bowl born amid the intense, roaring flames of the kiln.

Created by Morio Asahi, a highly accomplished master potter from Tajimi with many years of experience, this is a deeply expressive Shino tea bowl that reflects his long dedication to the art of ceramics.
