長谷川義昭の最高作品のひとつ鼠鬼志野茶碗の蔵出し品です。鼠色の地肌に鬼志野特有の白釉が力強くたっぷりかけられています。サブネイムの名残雪は、白釉が山肌の名残雪を模しているからなのでしょう。鼠鬼志野　名残雪と名付けられた茶碗はおそらく10作品程度と思いますが、本作品が最後になります。

This is a newly released, long-held work of a Nezumi-Onishino tea bowl, regarded as one of the finest masterpieces by Yoshiaki Hasegawa. The gray clay body is generously and powerfully coated with the distinctive white glaze characteristic of Oni-Shino ware. The subtitle “Nagoriyuki” (“Lingering Snow”) likely derives from the way the white glaze evokes patches of snow remaining on a mountainside. It is believed that only around ten tea bowls were created under the name “Nezumi Oni-Shino: Nagoriyuki,” and this work appears to be the final piece in the series.
